No, really, it was exceptional! Here she celebrates the fruits
of
the garden by enjoying one of daddy's peppers (sweet!)
She and a friend and their daddies held a thrilling car race
across the lawn.
Speaking of the lawn, she always loves to help with yard
work.

Autumn puddles make a nice excuse for wearing yellow "rainy boots."
We took another fine trip to Cable Lake in late September.
Here, Lydia demonstrated her budding artistic talents in the cabin.
Daddy helped show her some of the wonders of the woods. We
didn't get
a picture of it, but on the drive home we saw a moose.
Lydia will tell you it was a "BIG moose"!
Throwing bits of leaf and rock and moss off the pier to see
if
they sink or float.
One October highlight was going to a local farm for apples and pumpkins.
Apples taste best on the tree.

Mama, I want THIS one!
The oak leaves (oak-leafs?) made a nice backdrop.
Mama made Lydia a ladybug costume for Halloween.
She and her playmate got lots of candy for their trick-or-treating endeavors.
Favorite food -- pasta with Daddy's special homemade sauce.
She'll have a good culinary mentor, that's for sure!
