Lydia Laughs!
| Previous Page |

Lydia's upper body is getting stronger. She doesn't like
to play on her tummy, but with the help of the Boppy
pillow, she can raise her chest quite high.

And the smiles keep coming, along with laughter!

She also plays with hanging toys, and has gotten
quite adept at reaching and grabbing.

Beyond smiling, now we've got "talking".
She can make a range of babbly noises now,
either in "conversation" or as a monologue.

Of course, sometimes the communication involves complaint.

She's getting to be quite an armful.

She can now track a person across the room with her eyes.
(The purple mouth is on account of gentian violet
treatment for a stubborn case of thrush.)

Hand-in-mouth is another recent trick.
In fact, everything goes in the mouth.
Drowsing in the car seat, where she used to do almost all
of her sleeping, even at night.

Here's another car seat shot, on the porch at Cable Lake.
